PeaceHealth Peace Harbor Medical Center in Florence, Oregon is seeking a MRI Technologist for a Full Time, 0.90 FTE, Variable position. The general salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $40.22-$60.34. The actual hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to, the job/position responsibilities, location, terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement, education, training, work experience, seniority, work performance, etc.

This position will be scheduled Friday, Saturday and Sunday
The ideal applicant will be certified/licensed to cover MRI as well as X-ray and/or CT.

DETAILS OF POSITION:
Responsible for performing all routine and specialized MRI procedures by integrating medical knowledge and technical skills with effective patient interaction to provide quality patient care and accurate diagnostic information.
Operates MRI scanner for data acquisition, reconstruction and documentation of images, and performs quality control measures for the purpose of ensuring optimal quality images.
Applies the ACR Guidance Document for Safe MR Practices to ensure patient, visitor and caregiver safety.
Performs other patient care activities, duties and responsibilities as assigned consistent with Caregivers' scope of practice, training, experience and license/certification/registration.
Performs other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU BRING:
Accredited School Required:
Radiologic Technology or equivalent education and/or experience as required for obtaining certification/license/registration as required by State for clinical practice.
Minimum of 1 year previous experience in MRI preferred.
Multi-modality tech strongly preferred.
Demonstrated venipuncture competency required.
Demonstrated knowledge of radiologic and MRI terminology, practices, procedures, physiology, and human cross-sectional anatomy.
Demonstrated competency in computer-based programs as they relate to MR applications.
PACS/RIS knowledge required; ImageCast/CareCast experience preferred.
ARRT (R)(MR) or ARRT (R)(MR)(CT) preferred
Required Upon Hire:
Basic Life Support.
Registered with the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) required. Must maintain active registry with the State of Oregon.
